Just start.
Well, my friends, have you ever wanted to start a story, a business, a dream but haven’t because you haven’t a clue what the ending is?
I’ve been there. And let me give you a secret: start anyway.
You may not always know how the story ends, but that’s okay! Just start the story anyway.
Most of the time, the ending will come as you keep writing (and if your dream has nothing to do with writing, bear with me for a moment).
Now I know when we’re writing essays or academic papers, that method doesn’t really work. You should know your conclusion because it’s important to know what your argument is building up towards (and sometimes even that ending changes as you keep writing).
But when we’re talking about creative writing or any dream, don’t get so stuck in the planning process that you don’t allow Grace to flow.
There is nothing wrong with having a plan of what happens in your book. If that’s how you write, that’s great. Honestly, that’s awesome.
But I don’t work like that. I’ve never tried to diagram my stories. I simply started writing. And as I wrote and rewrote (many times), things changed. Characters, scenes, and storylines changed until finally, one day, a storyline fit. The scenes fit, the characters fit…everything fit! Except for the ending. I started to reach what I could feel was the end but had no clue what the ending was. So, I kept trying things. I kept rewriting until finally, the right ending stuck.
All of that to say, it’s okay if you don’t have all the details figured out. Most of the time, we just have to start.
If you’re waiting to know everything before you write a story, you’ll be waiting forever. If you’re waiting for all the answers before you do anything in life, you will be waiting forever!
Our Heavenly Father leads us step by step. So if you have a dream, just go step by step.
Start writing a story. Start researching how to start your own business.

It’s okay if you don’t have all the answers yet. I heard once that if God showed us the entirety of His good plan for us, we would get overwhelmed!
No, friend. God doesn't want us to be overwhelmed. Our Heavenly Father leads us one step at a time. So just start walking. Jesus is our Good Shepherd, and He only leads us in good steps to good places. And you know one of the best parts? He goes before us to prepare the way. To clear out obstacles. To make the best way possible. The safest, most fun way. So friend, relax. Your Good Shepherd has gone ahead of you and made your way good. Just start walking. Follow His footsteps. They will only lead to life.
Remember, you are deeply loved. And the only things waiting for you in the future are joy, peace, and health from your loving Father. Go get it.
