Happy Tuesday!
I hope that you all had an excellent Monday, and if you didn’t, then let’s believe that every day this week just gets better and better.
So. Today, let’s talk about celebrating.
Celebrating? Celebrate what?
Anything. Let’s celebrate anything today.
There’s a song that I’ve come to really like called “Celebrate More” by Lecrae, Andy Mineo, and Hulvey. I seriously encourage you to check it out. My favorite lyric in that song is “So baby worry less and celebrate more”.
You may have heard this before, but a couple of months ago, I was reading a book by Pastor Joseph Prince, and he talked about how we shouldn’t wait until big events, like birthdays or holidays, to celebrate and enjoy our families and friends.
We were made to enjoy everyday life, my friend. That’s what Jesus came to give us – life and life more abundant. That sounds like a celebration to me!
We can celebrate anything, I believe. What do you want to celebrate today? It can be big or small. Maybe you’re celebrating that today, you’re wearing new lipstick. Maybe you can celebrate the fact that you had a healthy breakfast – I don’t care if you celebrate the fact that the sun is shining and it feels unseasonably warm (because where I sit, 60-degree weather in November is very much unseasonably warm).
But let’s celebrate, my friends! I know that this year has been rough, and I don’t know how rough it’s been for you, but God does. He cares for you, and I believe that God wants to make every day better for you. I do.
So maybe you’re thinking that you don’t have something to celebrate. But today, I’m telling you that you can celebrate God’s love for you. Today, celebrate that God loves you – and I mean really loves you. That He sent His only Son to die for you so that today, you could celebrate knowing that God is not mad at you but is continually smiling at you, waiting to love you.
That sounds good, beloved. Let’s celebrate God loving us today. God is not judging us, condemning us, pointing out our faults – no. Let’s celebrate that God, at this very moment, loves you more than you can ever love yourself.
Enjoy today, my friend. You are deeply loved, highly favored, extremely valuable, and dearly precious to God.
